I can claim back the tax on my sunnies for just that reason. 8-)

There's no logic. I'm not saying get ill-fitting poorly made glasses. But just get what you need - not what the manufacturers want you to spend on the "trendiest" pair.

I'm not spending them on the trendiest pair, they are the cheapest Oakleys with the lenses I require and quite a bit cheaper than ray bans, Maui Jims etc :?

Cool then. Not having a go Fin. Just a lot of people buy the coolest thing and as somebody who HAS to pay through the nose for glasses, I wouldn't if I didn't have to. That's all.

No. But there are other ways to avoid it. Like car sun visors and hats and just not spending ages in the sun! We managed for thousands of years without sunglasses or eyeball cancer.

Anyway, I'm not here to rant or disagree for the sake of it. Just saying no need to waste cash. Nobody is it seems. Happy days :)

It's a gorgeous day outside my office, I'm going for a stroll around the estate....

Just got back after the bin run. Went out in my regular specs and hey presto - no eyeball cancer ;)

Bloody gorgeous day. First really warm one of the year. Looking forward to a BBQ and plenty of beach time this weekend!

(Oh, and I'm picking up my new Nike prescription sunglasses at Specsavers tomorrow afternoon :D )

I was seen drifting around Colchester today with my RayBans. A lovely day - sat in the park and watched chav kids trying to feed squirrels.

Well my Ray Bans arrived today. I opted for the large Aviator in black, and very nice they are too.

I went for the set Fin linked to originally (I really didn't like any other design everywhere else I looked):

£43 delivered from Outdoor somebody or other, and I didn't even wanna pay that, but they're very good (polarised) :D

Finally got them.....

Lens colour isn't silver like in the description..... it's brown  (apparently it's a tungsten iridium polarised lens not a silver one like the lens colour in the description hence the brown tinge)

Going to give it a while though, as it took long enough to get them and all of that style are sold out now. Hopefully I will be better adjusted to them with a weekend of use
