First of all...

How did they keep this quiet from the gutterpress, or is it me that's out of touch?

Secondly, this made me laugh:

Quote:
Brooker is best known on screen for his acerbic and satirical critiques of the the media.

I wonder what he'd make of the declining standards of the BBC's online news...

You just missed that one. Plus she was secretive so not much you can do unless you start stalking. :)

Another reason to dislike Charlie Brooker.

Ooh - I can tell a [LIFTED] story now.
After a night out, myself and a few friends found ourselves drinking champagne and playing Trivial Pursuit at Richard Bacon's house in Chiswick.
At the time, he was Connie's other half.
She rang him, and we all had to be silent as she didn't approve of him drinking, and certainly not having people home when she was out.
Made me laugh. It was like he was 16 again and his parents were on the phone.

It seems Connie has broken quite a few hearts on here with this news. I think she's probably my all time favourite TV presenter. She still makes me feel gooey inside :(

And Dara O'Briains, as I recall.

I thought she was OK as a presenter but I found her voice a bit grating. Brooker I find occasionally funny but I find the iconoclast/misanthrope act a bit stale - other people, notably Peter Cook and Jeffery Bernard, have done it before and better, the only thing he does is swear more.

My thoughts entirely, looks decidedly 'wonky' in that photo.
