I'm very impressed with HP's server kit.

Last summer, I told the boss, that we need to get an aircon unit for the server room. He told me that the servers have survived the last 8 years without, it is a luxury we don't need. Just went in there now and the thermometer in the room is saying ambient is 32°C and the server rack is over 45°C°

You could at least consider the energy saving of ducting that heat out and up to the hand driers in the bathroom though. ;)

Just move the wash basins into the server room and they can wave their wet hands in there and get them dry. ;)

We've had a few outages when the rooms over heat so I'm surprised they've lasted that long without them!

Years ago when I was at the Guradain (typos on purpose) the room got so hot it brought the switches and the whole network down. 14 hours later we were still trying to resolve it and were very close to going to the disaster recovery site when we got it working and the papers ans all the weekend mags went out on time. Phew!
