Neither have I. People, not including the media, seem to be more realistic. A QF or SF maybe, win the cup? Well, it depends how the luck goes further down the line. TBH I'm ok about the draw. After the mistake by Green a different England side seemed to appear, alot more passing rather than just hoofing the ball up pitch and a bit of aggression. The US did a good job and kept Rooney quiet all night although there were a couple of times he was in the box, in space, and nobody got a throughball to him. Play Rooney up front on his own where he likes it and play Gerrard just off him. Gerrard is midway between a MF and striker anyways and it would also free up Lampard at the centre/head of midfield if we can get Barry in to play a holding role. Lennon and J Cole on the wings will give us pace to get behind the opposition and A Cole and Johnson are always good bombing forward. You can then leave Terry and one other (none of those left have speed) to basically hold back and read the game rather than chase it at a slow pace. But what do I know?

Slovenia and Algeria look awful. If we don't get 7 points there must be some corruption going on.
Hopefully this match stays 0-0 and then we get a hat full of goals against both.

Slovenia 1-0 up due to a goalkeeping howler that makes Robert Green look like luigi Buffon. I can't see either of these getting a point against England or the US.

Aye.
Talking of goalkeepers I don't understand the manager. He always said he would pick based on fitness and form and yet the goalkeepers for a relegated team and a team nearly relegated seem to be higher in the pecking order than a young lad with talent who had an outstanding season helping his loan team outperform expectations. Again.
Not sure where the logic is there seeing as James and Green aren't that experienced and rock solid.

I dont blame Rob Green for letting in the goal last night. Im blaming john Terry. If Terry had shagged Greens missus then Green wouldnt have been in the squad and thus the ball would of been saved.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Tough one! On the one hand I want the former colony to win it, on the other I want our European neighbours to win.

And that's one for Germany. Special congratulations to ITV for actually broadcasting a goal.

I decided that since Tim Cahill is possibly the most unlikeable player in the premiership I should support Germany. This has allowed me to find the incompetence of the Aussie defense hilarious rather than mortifying

Its so lucky the Germans seem to be trying not to score or it would be looking like a cricket score! Germany are looking ominous!!!!

Very impressed with the German team's performance in the first half...the first squad who look like they are playing as a cohesive team.

Q. how come we support a group who have criminal records who you would not have living next door to you woman/wife beatings/assault(s), drug convictions, possible (alleged) drug dealing, drink driving convictions, alleged rapists, adulteries and out and out pieces of over paid garbage
these persons/people (team) do not represent me, an honest working person and i cannot wish them the best as its not deserved or earned by them …

Blimey, he's only been on the pitch 30 seconds and he's scored!

Watching this fame is even more reason we should go all out to win the group. Come second and we go out to the Germans (on penalties if we're lucky!) in the second round.
