Schumacher cleared of any wrong doing.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Perhaps if Damon Hill had been the celebrity steward it may have been a different matter. ;)

Overall I'm not that surprised, the most reckless thing during the race was Kubica entering the pit lane, for which he has been reprimanded.

I found a video showing in car footage from Massa and Schumi's line follows the middle of the track for the entire straight and then just before the breaking zone he moves left to get the line for the corner.

When he moved left he was still over half a car length in front of Massa.

Maybe Massa was aiming for a different breaking point as he had better tyres but Massa then proceeds to carry on into Schumi's tyres.

Yeap Massa out broke himself yet again, the bloke was on a mission just look at the first corner at the start of the race......

Schumi's actions were just hard racing and defending, good to see him getting back to his old ways imo.

Ferrari slams ‘GP2 pace’ of new teams

Luca di Montezemolo's at it again, I'm not sure I agree as F1 need new teams and they have to start somewhere to get better.

What are your thoughts?

Back markers are part of the race, oh and did anyone tell him that both Alonso and Massa have both been lapped this season.

I think he should lighten up.

Everyone is looking forward to the new teams getting quicker, but you can't just click your fingers and make it happen - development takes time.

Hopefully in a few seasons they will be competing :)

Changes made to allow more overtaking in Formula 1

Lots of stuff but what I find of interest is banning the F-duct but allowing driver-adjustable bodywork. Their conditions for use sound a bit too complicated for me, I'd have rather seen a massive reduction in wing.

Hmm, interesting developments! Not sure I agree with it, but might mix things up a bit I guess.
Quote:
With regard to improving overtaking next year, the World Council announced "driver-adjustable bodywork" would be allowed.

...Lowe said the device would allow a following car to increase its speed by 15km/h (about 9.3mph) and the driver in the car in front would not be allowed to deploy the device to defend his position.

I wonder how this bit would be policed though... Presumably through telemetry?

EDIT: Woohoo, just booked 3-day tickets for Silverstone - wasn't going to go this year, but with the way this season's going I couldn't resist it. Should be a good weekend. Now, does anyone know any good, but cheap, hotels anywhere near Silverstone? Everywhere I've looked at so far is either booked up or they've hiked the prices to £160-£250 a night!! Please PM me if you know of anywhere within, say, 25 miles of Silverstone. B&Bs considered too, don't mind slumming it a little bit!
