Mac OS X 10.6.4 has been released.
Check Software Update or here for the combo update or here for the incremental update.

Does anyone know how to download an update using Software Update and keep the installer package?
The option was there in previous versions of OS X but it appears to have been removed in 10.6.

Mark

Installed the combo update and no problems here.

I'm sorry Mark, I never knew you could do that on previous versions...

I have installed it but cannot see any differences. But then I am not really looking for any and probably would not recognise them as different anyway.

Oops, Apple released a vulnderable version of Flash in the patch! They included verion 10.0.45.2, which has been superceded by 10.1.53.64.

10.0.45.2 has 32 known vulnerabilities, which have been patched with 10.1.53.64... :?

Yes, they did... But at least they were sensible enough, that if people had already installed the newer version, it doesn't get overwritten. ;)

Sensible people uninstall Flash altogether.

Actually, it's not the first time Apple have shipped an older version of Flash. Didn't it have something to do with the timing of the gold master last time?

It also caused one of my apps to reject a font which has been in use for a very, very long time. Thankfully, I have an alternative version which is good, but just be careful with some of those old pre OSX suitcase fonts.

Is anyone running it on a white macbook? Installed it on one this morning and it's not behaving. Crashes when I try to open Directory Utility and it's spinny wheel of death for the 3rd time when trying to create a new local user account.

Merde!

I am, but I only installed it last night (I thought it was being installed for me when I went to work the other day, but seemingly not). I'll have a look when I get home, Caz. Think mine's a C2D MacBook, can't remember exact details.

I'm running a first gen White MacBook (c2d, 2GB RAM)
Managed to open Directory Utility fine and create a local user.

Not sure why the one you have is acting up...Anything interesting in the Console.app?

Our Macspert has said our image won't run properly on the white macbook so I will have to install 10.5. Never mind.
