Nintendo's released a firmware update designed to put an end to homebrew and piracy.

Wii Menu 4.3 targets unauthorized modifications to channels or firmware that, according to Nintendo, "may impair game play or the Wii console".

The update automatically removes these unauthorised files thereby removing any custom channels or applications.

The update also conducts some back-end enhancements to improve system performance.

Mine is connected to wifi..... turned off connect24 though

And I think Sas is right, mind the only time I upgrade firmware is when a game needs it!

That would be the only time I would connect my console to the net. I am not interested in Homebrew or anything similar but cant see the point for me.

I am planning on getting a slimline xbox but will not be connecting it to the internet, or subscribing to Xbox live. I am no good at multiple player games so no need to show myself up on a regular basis.
