Don't be daft, he's going to be working in I.T! What the heck has that got to do with the "real" world, what that is? ;)

LOL true

Yeah, as I always used to say: "It's better than actually working for a living" ... just a lot more like it than I'm used to! My old job, I really was redundant towards the end. I spent about 3 days a week just posting on here :?

Yay! Congrats, JJ.

I bet you're pleased - no more worrying about that enormous council tax bill. ;)

Blimey, you've a good memory! Did I say that on here, it was a while ago!

It's still enormous though.

'grats JJ!

Must be catching - it looks like I'm going to be gainfully employed for June/July doing some video stuff. :)

Congratulations JJ!

I got my official end date on Thursday and my new employer is sending me a revised contract with the new start-date (1 month earlier than before).

The deal I mad with my old employer, to finish earlier, was a great deal - for them! They were playing silly buggers over overtime ("6 months work = x hours, you've booked y hours into the system, that is less than you should have worked!" But the time keeping system doesn't register bank holidays, holiday or sick leave!). To save having to get a lawyer and going to a tribunal, I made them "an offer they couldn't refuse."

Thanks :)

It's not 100% official until I sign on the dotted line, but I have a verbal agreement which I'm happy with :D

So I now have a couple of weeks "holiday" to prepare for the idea of getting up in the morning and working for a living. Gulp, horrifying concept!

Nice one JJ :D
