As nobody will the possible exception of Mark will care.

Although I doubt even he will want to enter into a conversation about the subjectivity of the human experience and how interpretation of art is a huge part of that. Besides, he hasn't even seen the end of Lost yet which is a classic case in point.

So like I said......

That's true. My mate's still dragging his feet over catching up so I might just start the final season without him.
Their loss. (8+)

That's the problem with reading stuff though innit?!

Takes all the subjectivity, observation and discussion out of art. TV is just the latest victim. But as nobody will care about what I'm saying, I'll shut up and go away!

Ah but I havent changed my mind purely on the basis of what someone else wrote. I'm inclined to come around to their way of thinking due to pointing out things I missed when I watched the episode. Makes more sense.

As indicated in my thread necromancy post and the ones afterwards, I did think what was posted at that link.
I throughly understand the opinions of others and that it's purely subjective to make a reading on an ambiguous bit of T.V. but it's what generates commentary in a like-minded bunch of people and I for one enjoy the process.

[LIFTED] me. An extremely non-silly, wonderfully worded post making a delightfully lovely point. I might start visiting here more often again......

p.s. I for two, enjoy it (8+)

No, of course not. I get what you're saying. Personally, I prefer to discuss it with other people and if I "come around to their way of thinking" as a result, cool. What I dislike, is the matter-of-fact, can't-believe-you-didn't-figure-that-out way that a lot of those kinds of articles are written. That's what I meant.

Case in point I guess was the end of Lost. I found most was explained in the finale but with a little still left to ponder. You couldnt browse the net for blogs wanting to dissect and duly inform us of exactly what did and did not happen though as we (and by that I dont neccassarily mean us here) searched for someone to tell us the 'truth'.

Exactement. Lost was most definitely a huge example of that phenomenon. I believe the writers left some interpretational room for a reason. Supernatural was definitely less open, but I still wouldn't say Chuck's role was **completely** clear - to me. Hence my interpretation.
