You're not wrong. Brazil vs Portugal should have been one of the games of the tournament but it was utterly dire.

I'm hoping for a lot more from Spain v Chile. Spain have to win otherwise that may be 3 of the big players going home.

Lucky opening for Spain. Chile have been all over them, GK way out clearance, nifty shot by Villa into an open net. Should make the match even better. Edit: 2-0 and a really unlucky 2nd yellow for an accidental trip on Torres.

Spain's possession play is making this a very dull game now.

Shame Chile were down to 10. Before that they were all over Spain.
Now Chile have to face Brazil. Although they finished above Brazil in qualifying the got drubbed both times they met them.

Oh no! A psychic German octopus has predicted Germany will win on Sunday. What's worse is that the octopus was born in Weymouth! Deutsche Welle

I've had a power cut since 1AM - I hope the power is back on in time to watch the games today!

I'll be supporting Paraguay when they play Japan. "Excuse me, can I borrow your mobile?"

Looks like a bit more support is rather needed.
Knockout phase kicks off now! Come on South Korea (got them in work sweepstake).

Sod off, come on Uruguay. I bet on them at the start of the tournament at 150/1 Edit: Anymore defending like that and South Korea will be lucky to keep it in single figures.

Bored! I'm trying to be interested and yes I will be watching tomorrow but I'm soooooooo bored with it. - The ball's crap
- The pitches are crap
- The "supporters" are crap
- Vuvuzelas
- The players all look really tired
- The players all look really bored
- Managers seem more concerned about not losing than trying to win so consequently...
- ...Most teams are playing dull defensive football so consequently...
- ...the goal count is way too low
- The commentary and punditry are dull and poor quality
- The sound recording is poor
This mostly isn't the fault of the South Africans but still, right now, I couldn't care less who wins - be that England or anyone else. I've loved watching the World Cup ever since 1990 but, no matter how much I try, I just can't get hold of this one.

I refer the Honourable Gentleman to the photo I posted some moments ago. Also, gambling makes every game interesting.

Erm... I don't gamble and she's really not attractive to me. I'm trying hard to stay interested but I'm really starting to struggle

I think they've looked tired because of the altitude and the 'not losing' should be eradicated now that we're in the knockout stages.
