A great example of Darwin's law on a national basis. That should eliminate the weaker from the gene pool at quite a rate now. So how long before it is a breach of a persons right to walk into a bank bearing arms? Or the right to fly and retain their firearms. Well that will solve the hijack risk, but there could be a lot of shoot outs at high altitude.

A couple of hundred years ago, the amendment made sense. Today, it just makes the Americans sound like ignorant barbarians...

It is amazing, that they let their freedom of speech amendment be trampled to death, yet mention the possibility of them not being able to carry a gun and the nation raises their arms and shouts!

The amendment reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

It still makes sense. A well regulated Militia does not mean everyone. But a militia, or National Guard would be sufficient to not breach the constitution. Though technically they are not even regulated apart from the National Guard.
