Ok, here's the first round of the new forum poll. I've tried to reflect the fact that we're aiming for a Top 10 (as that's what sparked the debate) so except for the final round (which will be the ordering of the 10) there will be at least 2 entries going through, and you'll have as many votes as entries going through. I would urge people to at least try listening to all the tracks, although having listened to basically all of them myself, I'm not going to make an insistence on it being all the way through or anything Round 1 is going to be 10 tracks, and the Top 4 will go through, so 4 votes each. Tracks are as follows: Spinal Tap - Big BottomsSimple Minds - She's A RiverJoe Walsh - Life's Been GoodNirvana - Heart Shaped BoxThe Who - Who Are You?Iron Maiden - Number Of The BeastRainbow - Kill The KingForeigner - Feels Like The First TimeMotörhead - Ace Of SpadesDeep Purple - Smoke On The WaterEach round will run for the usual 7 days, and I'll try and start them first thing Tuesday morning each week (reminders are allowed!). No changing once you've voted, it'll just get too complicated so think first!!

Well that was easy: Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Rainbow and Deep Purple. Simples.

I was toying with a couple for my fourth vote. Finally settled on Joe Walsh when I noticed he had Pino Palladino playing bass for him. That's pretty awesome in my book.

I went Simple Minds, Joe Walsh, The Who and Foreigner, on the basis that everyone else with vote for Deep Purple and Motörhead.

"Heart Shaped Box" is required voting. It wasn't so easy choosing others. This is the first round where I actually own most of the tracks

I'm getting worried now. All my favourite ones are still to come. I do hope they're not all in the same heat.

The final total was 206 tracks so there are quite a few rounds still to go
