You must have caught that great knock-off title Snakes on a Train recently. There’s a slew of blockbuster knockoffs doing the rounds on some of the cable channels (notably SyFY and Horror).

Snakes on a Train wasn't actually a knock off as it's apparently the sequel.... which came out the same year, possibly even before the first film :?

Not a sequel as they are produced by a different company, The Asylum. They make many spoofs or mockbusters, and generally try to beat the release of the original. SoaT was released on DVD three days before SoaP made theatres.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

They are pretty unwatchable too - mostly consisting of padding dialogue, actors standing around waiting for their cues, etc..

There was one on *sigh*fi last night. It had Leo from Charmed in it, and General Hammond from SG:1. It was atrocious.

I actually quite enjoy it when these discussion come around to this aspect of TV films.

I can enjoy cheap movies, wobbly sets and wooden acting is like watching England play sport.

It wasn't taken as such. Just an acknowledgement.
