Would you pay for online news?

I wouldn't, for many reasons, and I suspect that's what Murdoch's gonna find is the norm

I give it 3 months before they do a U-turn, once their readership goes down and advertising dries up.
I don't know anyone who would pay for the content, I certainly wouldn't.

Does that suggest that you actually read The Times?

;)

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.... ;)

TBH Murdoch puts me off that much I read the Grauniad instead.

Which reminds me, brilliant article here:

Well surely they won't make people pay, and then make them put up with adverts too?? :|

That's completely different though - everyone knows that the price of a newspaper is heavily subsidised by the advertising - and people are perfectly happy to get their daily's for £1 or less in return.

But when you're paying, what was it? £2 a week or £1 a day?? For online content, it takes the piss a bit if they put a load of adverts in their pages.
