The first piece of DLC for Aliens vs. Predator will arrive next week, on March 18, Sega's confirmed.

This Swarm Map Pack is set to include four multiplayer arenas originally offered for free to Special Edition purchasers; Docks and Machine (which work across all game modes), plus Hive and Outpost (which are Survivor maps).

The pack will cost 540 Microsoft Points (£4.60) when it hits Xbox 360 and Games for Windows and £4.79 on PS3.

Aliens vs. Predator DLC next month

Quote:
Sega's announced new download content for Aliens vs. Predator in the form of a map pack.

The pack is called 'Bughunt' and includes two new multiplayer maps for the six different competitive online modes; Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination.

You'll also get two new maps for the "Survival" mode, in which a team of up to four Marines fight an increasing horde of Aliens.

The maps will include environmental hazards for the first time, says Sega, as well as lovely new weather effects.

It's out on July 7 for £4.79 on the PlayStation Store and Steam, or you can shell out 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live

I'm about 6% away from finishing it, haven't tried the MP yet, but the one-player isn't worth any more than £20 at most it's that short. And if it wasn't for the franchises' history you wouldn't care at all :(

I really ought to get round to installing this game, or at least taking off the cellophane (sp?) wrappiing. :|

It was going cheap at the local supermarket and I thought, "oooh, very nice, I'll have that". But I got home, stuck it on the shelf and have never been able to summon the will power to try it out.

The last game I completed was Mass Effect 2, and it took me months, simply because I couldn't be bothered to play it, and sometimes went a week or more between sessions.

Maybe I'm growing out of computer games, the number that I have thoroughly enjoyed over the last few years is pitifully small. :(
