People in Kosovo have.

His mother Shukrija said she was very "proud" he was named after Mr Blair, adding: "I hope to God that he grows up to be like Tony Blair or just a fraction like him."

Hmm....

Did you read that news story a few months ago. Some white supermacist nut in America had named his son Adolf Hitler and a bakery refused to put the name on top of a birthday cake for him.

EDIT

Sky News CLICKY
Though I prefer this take on it.

I guess if my surname was Blair and I wanted to name a son after my dad if he was called Anthony.

But it's not, my dad wasn't and I don't have a son. So no, no I wouldn't.

Yes but Tony Blair is almost revered in some places like Sierra Leone and Kosovo for bringing peace to the area. It was his wars with George that trashed that reputation.

You could use Tony as a middle name.
I hearby christen you "I Hate Tony Blair" ;)

Just out of curiousity, are children still named Adolf in Germany, or has the use of the name for children become a bit of a taboo?
Like here we never seem to call children Jesus , but we still use Josepth and Mary. Whereas in south america they use it a lot.

He'd be the worst on the list.

What about Eric Arthur Blair? (George Orwell)

So we have one decent Blair, can we exterminate the rest? ;)
