No but he did sort of backpedal when asked later.

Fabulous race ! You can't really complain about the winner........ he drove a superb race. Did you see how fast Hamilton went by Alonso at the start !!!!!! I thought F1 cars didn't have a reverse gear

There's a joke in there about Italian tanks, isn't there?

Was at Silverstone for the weekend, what a great race it was! Webber truly deserved that one, loved the little dig at the team afterwards. Lewis drove a solid race too, and it was damage limitation for Jenson - he couldn't really ask for more than 4th (from his starting position of 14th, that was pretty damn good!). There was a massive cheer in the grandstands when Alonso got his drive through penalty, as well as when Vettel had his little mishap!
The new part of the track was really good, and next year's moved pit straight will lead into the 1st corner of this new part which should provide an interesting start to the race - I can guarantee there will be a few tangles and scrapes there. The new Arenas A and B in this new section are probably where we'll be trying to get tickets for next year. We were in Luffield A this year, which has lost a bit of the track action with this new section added, so will look at other stands for next year. It was still a great race from where we were sitting - have recorded it but yet to view it back.
It was absolutely heaving on the Sunday, leaving took us an hour and a half to go about 3 miles, shockingly bad for traffic around the track.

I thought he was being more matteroffact later on. Mind you his mechanics weren't, they were lifting up Webber's front wing and waving it in the air in the general direction of Vettel's mechanics. Red Bull really are shooting themselves in the foot.

Nice one Steve, I haven’t been for a couple of years now and always wish I was there when watching on TV. Strange I actually wanted Webber to win after the [LIFTED] Red Bull put him through on Saturday.

I want Webber to win the WDC. I know I ought to want a brit to win but Hamilton and Button have both won before and after what Red Bull have put Webber through he deserves it. Plus given his age he might not get another shot but I'm sure Button and Hamilton will be in the mix for a few more years to come.

Sounds fair to me. Well in fact anybody as long as it isn't Alonso or Vettel.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

+1 A significant part of my enjoyment of the race was down to Vettel's puncture and Alonso getting a drive-through penalty. Plus, Webber's No.2 driver comment at the end. That was brilliant, it cheered me up no end. I was never a huge fan of Webber, he always talked a good race and then stuffed it. So, I had him down as a talentless gobsh!te. These last few years he has shown that he can complete a race as well as win a race, so my respect for him has grown.

I agree but I would still like a Brit to win, though would Webber coming second or third be acceptable.

What a fracking c*ck!
I've never heard so much bullsh*t come out of anyone than what is currently spewing out of Alonso!

Yeah, Ferrari wre caught bang to rights on this one. What a joke. Made a mockery of the whole thing. Especially considering it's year since Massa was nearly killed and he could have marked that anniversary by winning the race!

Yep, really ruined the race result for me. I would have loved Massa to have won today, especially considering the anniversary since his appalling accident, and I'm not a Ferrari fan by any means. I feel bad for Massa, but I have respect for him for not glossing over it in the post-race conference. Funny to see Ferrari back-peddling, trying to dig themselves out of this hole!! I really hope the FIA throw the book at Ferrari, but sadly I don't think that will happen. The strange thing is before this race, Alonso and Massa were only really separated by about 20 points - that's nothing when you consider it's now 25 points for a win. It's far too early to even consider thinking about team orders, either blatantly or stealth-like. The fact is that Ferrari would have still got the same number of constructor's points whichever order their drivers crossed the line in. The more I hear from Alonso, the more I hate the guy. He didn't need to pull stunts like that today. He comes over as a petulant little boy, who if he doesn't get what he wants, stamps his little feet and shouts until he does. That's not the sign of a World Champion to me. Controversy does seem to follow Alonso around, doesn't it?! Can't be just a coicidence surely? Massa better watch out, the next team orders could be telling him to drive into a wall to allow Alonso to win a race!! A dark day for F1 in my book.
