Very nice but she did famously say the only relationship she's interested in is the one with her sled...

Top Gear is on.
How many miss pronunciations has Jezza made?
Firstly Rubens' surname, Emma Watson's first name and something else that I can't remember at the moment.
::Edit:: Oh, the vuvuzela, but I'm not entirely sure what the proper pronunciation is.

Now, I'm not sure about that. In Italian it would certainly be Barri'K'ello but he isn't Italian, he's Brazilian and therefore he speaks (and his name is pronounced in the style of) Portuguese. So the rules may be different. Portuguese shares a lot more with Spanish than Italian for obvious reasons. Anyone speak any Spanish or Portuguese and can tell what the rules to do with hard and soft 'c's are? He got vuvuzella wrong, that's fair enough. Jon

a quick google for "barrichello pronunciation" brings up a hit from this thread on the Autosport forums, from a post about halfway down

Like bruschetta. The is no "ch" in Italian IIRC. It is pronounced as a K. Which was all the more frustrating in Pizza Express when I pronounced it properly and the waitress (falsley)corrected me!!

There is, but it's when a 'c' precedes a soft vowel, like in cinquecento. Otherwise it's normally a harder c-sound.

Yes there is a ch sound e.g. in seicento but I meant that the typical english ch - spelt that way in the word - does not produce the same in Italian. It sounds like K. Thats why Barichello for me is always said with the K and not ch.

I assumed he knew something we didn't as he's the only person I've ever heard pronounce it like that. I also liked the way he pronounced 'business park'.
