OK, my body must be deficient in something because I've had the biggest craving for extra strong peppermint mints for the past few days (what were the "XXXX" variety).

So, what could I possibly be lacking to want so many mints? :?

I'll look into that thanks. Although I eat Shredded Wheat for breakfast and have at least 1 apple a day, so that'd be a surprise!

+1 to the above. Proper oral hygiene. Brush twice daily, floss every few days, mouthwash regularly and remember to tongue-scrape.

So....stop eating so much fatty foods, drink plenty of black tea and chew your food properly.

Lol my oral hygiene is fine thanks. I see a dentist every 6 months and not a single filling. I always brush twice a day for at least two minutes, use mouth wash etc...

Thanks for the other info., I'll be on salad for a bit then.

I brush once a day in the shower for anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes dependant on how much of a rush I am in!

Never flossed in my life, and I use mouthwash probably two or three times a week. I'm a good tongue scraper though! :D

A lack of Vitamin B causes sugar cravings, but it's most likely insulin levels or something like that, try eating lower GI foods like brown rice, to keep your blood sugar more stable throughout the day. eat more veg.

I would say it's either an Iron or possibly a Zinc deficiency.

I'm not sure the mints will be fulfilling your need, maybe just tricking you into thinking you are.

Funnily enough I had a nice steak yesterday and the cravings have gone, so you might have had something there. :)

Hasn't anybody considered the fact that maybe he just fancied some extra strong mints because he did?

Does there have to be a medical reason behind it?

+1

Surely it's just a craving, no?
