It's a bit of a jump (well, more of a Matrix style unfeasible leap across a chasm between skyscrapers to be honest with you) from 'one bloke got a new iphone that doesn't seem to do the problem thing' to 'Apple are recalling all iphones but not telling anyone !!eleventy11!!'. Possibly, although I can't imagine they'll have anywhere near enough stock to give (what?) 2 million people a new phone right now. More likely if they do have a scheme they'll hope (a) Quite a lot of people don't bother to take the option up. (b) Those who do won't mind going on a list to get a new one when they get their turn. I can see (a) being true - no recall gets 100% take up, especially not if the problem isn't life threatening - but I think (b) might get a lot of people quite upset. Jon
