Um. It's a bit of a jump (well, more of a Matrix style unfeasible leap across a chasm between skyscrapers to be honest with you) from 'one bloke got a new iphone that doesn't seem to do the problem thing' to 'Apple are recalling all iphones but not telling anyone !!eleventy11!!'. But no more than I'd expect from Giz. Jon

Possibly, although I can't imagine they'll have anywhere near enough stock to give (what?) 2 million people a new phone right now. More likely if they do have a scheme they'll hope (a) Quite a lot of people don't bother to take the option up. (b) Those who do won't mind going on a list to get a new one when they get their turn. I can see (a) being true - no recall gets 100% take up, especially not if the problem isn't life threatening - but I think (b) might get a lot of people quite upset. Jon
