^ We wouldn't have it any other way I've an '89 Batman mug I got off eBay - this thing was boxed, never been used, but you only have to put tea near it and the inside of it is brown until it's absolutely scrubbed

Scummy mugs don't need a huge amount of scrubbing. All you need is some paper hand towels. They actually have a small amount of clay in them which helps make them absorbant, and this acts as a mild abrasive.
Damp hand towel, wiped around inside of mug and mug reverts to it's lovely clean colour again.
As to saving money - don't move house. I am on Friday and it's costing a fortune (not the new house, just the act of moving).

That is a huge saving. As much as £30000 for some people. Well done that man!

Anyone who spends £30k on a wedding is a prick. Mine cost less than a twentieth of that.

Or more if you get divorced afterwards.

It can be done for a lot less. The money involved is gone forever, and if you love each other it does not have to be a so expensive just to prove it to each other.

But that's true of pretty much anything - holidays is a good example.

Halfords are doing a two for one offer on car cleaning products at the moment - well my local branch is - so I'd take the opportunity to stock up. After all, it won't go out of date!

With holidays the budget flight might not always be the best deal. You could end up many miles from where you intend, facing a long journey to get where you want which adds to the cost. Personally I prefer to stay with friends locally, that cuts the accommodation costs. While there you could always chip in with food which you would be paying for wherever you are.
Using air-miles for short-haul flights is the most cost effective way of using them.

Hijacking is most effective for longer routes but I would not recommend it.

For some long haul flights it can be cheaper to fly from europe as you avoid the air passenger duty. Until this autumn anyway, I think there are plans to change it to aircraft rather than the passenger.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
