Hang on, this is a movie thread, therefore Serenity stands, not Firefly.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Just spotted Moon in a DVD bargain bin for £3. I'll watch it this weekend, if I get the chance.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend wasn't impressed but I watched it all. I wouldn't say it was particularly enjoyable as I found it very claustrophobic but it was a very interesting story and well made considering it was done on a low budget.

It was a fine example showing that you don't need umpteen stars, OTT SFX, CGI or 3D to tell an interesting story. Transformers and Avatar lovers take note.

I love Avatar and Transformers. Moon was stunningly sublime entertainment. Blew me away!

I agree. I still haven't seen Avatar or any of the Matrix films and I'm quite proud about that lol. I did start watching the first Matrix about 3 times but it didn't grab me. Moon on the other hand was absorbing even if it wasn't particularly easy to watch.

Glad to hear it. Transformers 2 & Avatar are good to pass a couple of hours but they don't make you think.

We bought Avatar on offer at Tesco and we both really enjoyed it. Perhaps it my Pagan nature but the film appealed to me on lots of levels and even though I rebelled against watching it at the cinema and it certainly wasn't the "life-changing" experience that some have blathered on about, it was still a ripping good yarn, a beautiful story and fantastic graphics. I'd say it's worth a punt Caz

I may watch it when it comes on Sky movies but I'm not going out of my way to see it. Thanks for the feedback though

Having watched it neither myself or Mrs. V were overly impressed with Avatar. A nice quote from her was... It's like Pokahontas in space, but at least with that film you can have a sing-a-long!
