DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns confirmed that a videogame based on the Suicide Squad comics is in the making.

The revelation came during the DC Universe panel at the Comic Con show in San Diego this weekend. Not giving away any specifics, Johns revealed only that we should expect the game to be "hardcore violent" which sounds good to us.

No platforms or even a vague release was hinted, but Comics Alliance speculates that it could be launched alongside the Suicide Squad movie also reported to be in the making.

The first Suicide Squad comics stared a group of non-super powered adventures who sought to tackle super-powered opponents. It was rehashed years later with a renewed story in which the Suicide Squad was a group of super villains hired by the government to tackle missions thought to be suicidal in difficulty, somewhat emulating Mission Impossible.

The latter plot sounds like it could make a decent game, don't you think?
