I like the new iMac lineup. The bottom-end iMac looks like an option now that it has a dedicated graphics card - not the best GPU on the planet, but better than the 9400m.
Will have to look into the i3 Benchmarks...

Just commented on this in the iMac thread.
I don't think it's something I would buy, but it does look interesting and perhaps I would change my mind after using one.

I've been using one ever since I got my MacBook Pro, this is just a larger version of the same thing, and it's bloody brilliant. If I had a desktop Mac of my own, I'd certainly get one of these over a mouse without hesitation.

Yeah but it's different on a portable device.
As good as the trackpads are, I still find a mouse more comfortable.

Oh? On my previous desktop Mac I used a trackball. hen I first used my MacBook Pro with the second screen I attached the trackball and the external keyboard. I soon dispensed with the trackball but kept on using the keyboard in conjunction with the trackpad on the laptop. For a desktop based Mac I can certainly see the advantage of using one of those Magic Trackpads over a mouse. The only possible exception would be the mouse Apple is selling (is Apple still selling the bluetooth mouse?). Mark

Next week I will be off to the Apple store to have a look at them.

I know Faye prefers using her laptop (iBook) to do Photoshop work because she feels she has more control with her fingers. I can see similarly minded people buying this.

Interesting, as I find using my fingers to draw with slightly wrong. I’ve tried drawing on my iPad with my fingers, and it just does not feel quite right. I’d rather have a stylus of some form to do that kind of work with.

I’m waiting for the Apple keyboard to be just a touch sensitive screen, like the iPad.
