Well my copy of StarCraft 2 arrived. I am currently setting up the battlenet account, though do not intend to subscribe, just use it for registering. Anything that I should watch out for? Thanks.

I set mine up last night and there were some issues on the back end (load, basically) that caused a problem.

While you're installing, make sure you register the copy of starcraft 2 via the battle.net web site. When you first start it up, it will ask you to log in to battle.net and will check for a registered copy of SC2. If there isn't one, it won't let you go any further i.e. you won't even be able to access the one player game. The problem I had was the backend servers obviously weren't keeping up so even though the web site said my copy was registered, the game couldn't see the registration and therefore I was stuck. A few hours later they'd obviously caught up and things were OK, but don't panic if you get the same error.

I actually opened a support call about it and they sent me a response (a bit too late as it happened but still pretty quickly given how busy they must be) that if it didn't all connect soon changing my battle.net password would 'kick' the update through and get me in.

Still, the whole process kind of reminded me why I moved over to console gaming in the first place...

Watch out for time passing quicker than you realise.

See you in a couple of months.

;) :P

I am currently waiting for my battle net account verification to arrive so I can reinstall into my admin account. It does not support user accounts and being authorised. So have to wait for that [LIFTED] email before I can reinstall.

Yep, load issues on the back end can do that, or so Edd tells me.
