What is interesting is that there does not appear to be any passage of time in the Simpsons' world, yet I have just watched the episode on vid this week where Apu and his wife have eight babies, not surprisingly nine months after conception- and yet maggie is still an infant. A clear nine months of time passed in a single episode and yet no-one gets a day older.

Their house is actually a TARDIS. Which stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Simpsons. It is a good point though. Although they do have a flash-forward episode where they are all grown up and Maggie is a grunge chick in high school. (or something)

What? She was 10 years old in 1987, that makes her 33 today?

They've had several flash-forward episodes and in one or two, Maggie hasn't changed I thought she was 8? Bart was 10...

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
