Plus you can still create specific play lists. I have nearly 28000 tracks and definitely could not cope without playlists.

I'd say sync is absolutely essential. Sure, techies like those of this forum would probably be comfortable with it, but tbh I'd get so bored of it I'd probably end up writing a batch file or something. Oh wait...
And most "normal" users simply wouldn't be able to do it.

I would have to agree. All my friends are windows users and struggle.

And that's the whole raison d'etre for Apple products. I much prefer Windows Explorer. I know where it is and have done for 15yrs. But I'm a dying breed amongst consumers.

That is what I though as well, until I saw this: http://www.androidcentral.com/gartners- ... roids-hugealso I knew that Android is going to be popular but not at this rate of growth Those are same waves that Google's making...

What's the state of Android handsets at the moment? I'm looking into an Android handset for someone, is there anything I should be looking at other than the Milestone, Legend and Desire? EDIT: Just came across the Samsung Galaxy S, WOW!

Yeah, I've seen the advert for the Galaxy, it looks good. I still say the Desire is great though.

Google released the 2.2 operating system in June, as of now, the only handset which has 2.2 is the Nexus One, even 'phones which aren't due for release until October are being slated for release with 2.1! It is one of the reasons I don't really like Android as a platform, yet...

Yep I have had a galaxy S and it's great, only complaints are the smooth back gets a little slippy, GPS could be better OTB (but can be tweaked) and battery life isn't great (as with any smartphone) so nothing that specific, only specific thing is the lock button is in an awkward place (and also the power button etc)
