Why serious gamers won't go for wireless mice

Considering my £13 Trust wireless mouse has never had any of the problems mentioned in the article in non-gaming use on an under-powered netbook for hours at a time, I'd imagine a dedicated mouse from Logitech for gaming should be quite good :?

Given that even the cheapest optical mice will out-manouver even the most dedicated "hardcore" gamer, the pursuit of these expensive, weird looking mice with lots of buttons on them always tickles me. I've had the same logitech bog-standard optical mouse for about 5 years, yet I've never felt like I'm being held back by it.

I have never noticed any problems. I use my logitech optical mouse all the time with games. I think that a few might benefit but the majority will feel happy with the existing mice set ups. I do not use my wireless mice as much as I could. That might change once I get the Apple charger.
