I can see why they are doing it. If they can attract more girl to the WoW then they can make more sales. It makes sense to make it more female friendly. Stripping players of gold or weapons as punishment might be a very effective punishment. Though keeping all message logs to see if players are acting illegally might also deter such behaviour.
