Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the trailer was; I can't even get my mates to go and see Inception, so I'll catch this at home

Don't know if the ever-vigilant pcernie has posted about this but the trailer for Zack Snyder's new film Sucker Punch is on YouTube. ClickyCould go either way but looks as mad as a badger in the trailer. Hope it's going to be in 3D

Haven't been vigilant in quite a while (I should probably change my avatar ), but I think you're right; it could be genius or utter gash

I agree as a one off it was fine. Nothing spectacular apart from the effects.

So JC doesn't want other writers to come along and fill the avatar universe up with crap, like floating mountains for instance.

I agree on the effects, but I wouldn't even say it was fine as a one-off - you either gave a crap about the characters and the world or you didn't. It was all or nothing in that sense, and I couldn't have cared less. The irony was that the CGI was what rang true the most

I did not really care that much about the characters. I was watching it with a different perspective and was not really impressed. It was an enjoyable story but nothing special. Everything was well signposted and predictable.

The next Terminator film to be animated?http://www.totalfilm.com/news/the-next- ... e-animatedWhy not? It'll almost certainly be better than Terminator: 'We need to justify the characters moving location but have no plot... quick, use a Terminator the audience hasn't seen before!' Salvation Oh yeah, I'd sooner the $70m was spent on just the animation process, hiring good voice talent etc rather than the 3D w@nk... and that could look very silly on it's time of release if 3D does turn out to be a fad

Castlevania In development heaven or development hell? Paul W.S. "How do I keep getting work?" Anderson was working on this one for a long time, but passed the directorial duties over to Silvain White (Stomp the Yard) in 2007. Later that year the writers' strike halted the production, and in May 2009 Castlevania was announced as cancelled. However, in July 2009 it turned out that Saw co-creator James Wan had signed up to write and direct a new version. Prognosis for a happy ending? Much better now that Wan has taken charge (don't forget that the first Saw was a really tight little horror film). In fact we'd go as far as to say we're excited. There are dirty rumours that Anderson is still circling the project though. He must not be allowed near it again. Or any other film. Saw did nothing for me either.
'Due to massive plot holes, the vehicle that was Saw overturned and there was ham everywhere'...

Ah. Seems I quoted you as saying Saw 'was a really tight little horror film' when it was really gamesradar. I was fooled by the negative comments about Paul W.S. Anderson and I should have known that you wouldn't say such a thing.

Saw was of no interest to me and so I avoided all of them. Quite successfully.
