The British star, who made his name in the United States as the grumpy but brilliant doctor in House, earns $400,000 (£255,000) per episode, according to the US magazine TV Guide which broke down the salaries of top stars in various categories, including comedy drama and reality TV.
He was followed by Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay who are paid $395,000 (£253,000) for Law & Order: SVU, and David Caruso, whose role on CSI: Miami sees him earn $375,000 (£241,000) an episode.

Good.
He'll bring it back here one day ;)
House is the best American thing on TV, so he's worth it.

Didn't the Friends cast get over $1m per episode for the last series?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

It is rather formulaic. It's a good formula, for sure, but still. Plus recently it's got a bit too 'soapy' for my tastes. I think it's possibly got a couple more series in it before it goes off the boil altogether.

I've only just started watching House, in the last month or two I've rented the DVDs from Lovefilm and have been plowing through them, it's a really great programme and I love watching it. But I agree with Jon, there is perhaps only a few more series left.

I know. It's about all that's on your Twitter feed and even that gets duplicated over to your Facebook. (8+)

I tolerate it for House. If he was to rent something else, mind... (8-p)

Yeah, I started liking the updates that were appearing on Fb, but then I realised they were automated so stopped.
House is good, though I'm still to watch any of season 6.

Same here. DVDs out in September, normally.

The few episodes that I have seen have been good as well. I just have not clicked with it, though I did not really try.
