Cool. I was a software engineer at BAE, and may be again in the future if I decide to be.

My aunt is some sort of technical person at BAE (works on pilotless aircraft).

Warton was first choice site; it's where they do most of the UAV stuff, and where they had the big unveiling a month or so back.

It's an offer on the table and it's a possibility. I'm a bit reluctant to leave public-viewable evidence of my thought process on the interwebs, but obviously the more offers to choose from, the better.

woot! There's a piece of orchestral music that Top Gear use all the time, mostly when they're on a race/challenge and every time they use it I've thought 'I must find out what that piece of music is'. But of course I never have. So I was working away this evening and I had iTunes on shuffle in the background and lo and behold up it pops! It was on my iPod all the time. The track, by the way, is 'Speed Me Towards Death' by Rob Dougan from the album 'Furious Angels' ( spotify link). They actually use the instrumental version, which Spotify doesn't have... Jon

Good spot. They also use the Dark Knight soundtrack a fair bit. Rob Dougan's stuff was used for the Matrix and has a similar epic sound.

Wasps like ham.
When I was in Finland we got into the habit of leaving it out for them.
They were little cubes of pizza topping ham or something and the wasps came along and flew off heavily laden with their prize and told all their mates. It got to the point that if there was none out they would all turn up waiting.
This went on for days.
That's what fresh air does to you.
That is all.
