Did he not learn from what happened to the black Stig (McCarthy)?
Anyway, is Ben Collins, or whoever we think it is, trying to publish under the name of The Stig? Or just his own autobiography?
As for the BBC, did they not learn from the last Stig and at least put something in the contracts to prevent something like this from happening?

AFAIK the person is trying to mention the fact they are the stig in their book, but since the BBC own all rights to the "stig" and have probably signed some sort of confidentiality agreement, they are trying to prevent publication on that basis.
