The Tyne is now the best river in the country to be if you're a salmon.

Guessing it's around the North Tyne/South Tyne join as opposed to the entrance and the shopping cart filled Tyne by the Quayside edit: turns out it was measured at Wylam, far enough away from Newcastle http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-10990592

Finally got an appointment for my "urgent" consultation, 9 weeks after I joined the waiting lists. Ho hum. The frustatrating thing is I shouldn't have had to have gone onto the waiting lists as I'd already seen the consultant in the past, before I went to Farnborough and saw a different one there.

I am skull-cruchingly bored today. It's not even been quiet as it usually is on a Friday.

I am seriously pissed off today, and I think I've just managed to start what may be the biggest argument ever with Mrs. V.

Did you tell them how Awesome you are? If not, I suspect that'd be the culprit in your time delay. Mark

I told them how I'd seen the consultant in Bath before, how I'd been seeing the one in Farnborough bi-monthly, and how I need to see one in Bath pronto, and they already have my records. Surprisingly enough, when I get to the top of the list, the consultant's secretary phoned to book an appointment and asked why I was down as a new patient. Yet again NHS admin FAILs. This time it's not as costly as it could have been with my knee, but it's a bit scary to imagine the potential consequences in some cases.

I had a converstaion with an Aymaran taxi driver last night and he was asking me who i preferred out of Jackie Chan, Van Damme and Bruce Lee, obviously I said Chuck Norris is better than them all and he shouted "YES! Ranger Texas! Chuck Norris is my favourite."

Quite simple really. Being a selfish prick who is so absorbed with his own problems and taking everything out on everyone else is a good start. Oh, hang on... you weren't after tips, were you...?
