I generally sit down at home now. Saves all the germs splashing about and I close the lid before flushing for the same reason. After watching a programme with the UV showing arsehole bacteria flying through the air to land on toothbrushes sort of swayed it for me.

We should all take a leaf out of the Koran on this matter, sitting down to pee is more hygenic and perfect for lazy sods like me.

No, but my brother in-law kneels to pee or so he tells us.

How the hell does that work, he's either got a very low toilet or very long upper legs!!?

I have no idea unless he has a lot more length than the average man...... and is able to roll it out and slap it over the rim..... :?

I use a cubicle, but stand!

I stand at home too-it's really not very hard to get it right.

+1

It also saves the grief from the females of not putting the seat back down, and can lead to other productive things :)

If I suspect a long visit I take something to read in there.

You have road signs for peeing in Germany ????????????????????????

I usually sit if I feel there's a danger of passing out before I finish. However, some loos are so gross I'm reluctant to sit on them for anything.

Otherwise, I aim accurately and very rarely need to wipe the seat after. I always wash my hands.

I know certain people that are very unhygienic, and it makes me uncomfortable working with them. Especially when they poke your food with their [LIFTED] fingers...

I'm not certain, but I think carrying a rusty stanley knife to remove their digits in such a circumstance is entirely permissible.

I've been the only bloke living in a house full of girls several times and can quite honestly say that they can be just as filthy as men.

Sometimes I sit down, as mentioned it depends on the circumstances and level of hygiene. If I have to take a crap on a filthy toilet I'll hover.
