The Sainsburys tills have a 'I'm using my own bags' button. I think they actually give you points for doing so, but I don't collect them.

They also allow you to weigh your bags, assuming they're not too heavy, and then load straight into them.

I thought that was the entire point of having a bagging area, everything is weighed, and if you don't use the bagging area then it will be pretty obvious to the worker or security cameras.

I forgot about the security cameras. For me it is a way to make sure that I get my maximum clubcard points and green clubcard points.
