Fungal infection or mental illness?

Neither, just reacting a bit to some treatment.

Not heard of fire treatment.

It winds me up when people at work latch onto a new word or phrase and then insist on repeating it at any given opportunity.

For example in my team going forward is in excessive use. And since when did a server reboot become known as bouncing.

"Going forward" gets my vote for the most pointless phrase of the Noughties. What was wrong with "for the future" or "in the future". We can't be "going backwards" can we?

Well, okay, some of us might be, self included.

I disagree.

Short of having "w*nker" printed on someone's forehead, I think the phrase helps us to identify and avoid ar$eholes everywhere. :D

Buzzwords generally annoy me. Just trying to keep up with the latest buzzword is so stupid. Downsizing, no you are firing people. Realigning the business, no you are selling one area to concentrate on something else. Refocusing, no you are getting back to the business that you took for granted. Challenges ahead, my job is on the line if I screw up again. The list goes on.

The entire data center is moving this weekend. It's being lifted out by crane. I think a few servers will be bouncing shortly then!

On another note I looked up a user today. His name is Darren Revill and his AD logon is formed using his initial and first five letters of his surname.

Yep.... Dr Evil

Brilliant!
