It's been a problem with some of my girlfriends. Not all, but some.

I would say so. There's some very good recovery software out there, though I haven't ever had to use any myself I know people that have. That Edd chap may be able to help you out. (8+) Mark

Thank you both, you've made me remember something from a dream last night, something which I knew a few years ago and had forgotten! I'm sure there's a website called something like "The Coroner's Toolbox", it's full of useful stuff to recover file systems...I can't find it atm though But still, thank you very much for jolting my memory

Very likely, tradeoff is you will have to buy a new memory card for it as if you continue to use it your chance of recovery goes very slim

I'm very reliably informed that she has a second card that can be used instead of this one. Mark

Not yet. We're actually just discussing VMWare and XP. We all removed as it corrupted and ran really slow. I remote on to PC from mac if I have to use XP.

Yes. Worked fine, just like Vista before it. Apple even have 64-bit drivers for most bits now.

It does now, but suffers from the usual BootCamp problem, BC puts the partition on the slowest part of the disk it can find!
