Quote:
The former prime minister and his wife have paid £975,000 in cash for a maisonette in west London for their 22-year-old daughter Kathryn, bringing the family property portfolio to nine homes.
Land Registry documents show that the three-bedroom property, which has two bathrooms, a garage and its own lift, was bought on July 23 in the names of Cherie Blair and Kathryn Blair.
It means the Blairs’ only daughter, who is studying law, will never have to worry about mortgage payments as long as she lives in the apartment, which is within walking distance of her parents’ home in Connaught Square.
Since leaving office, Mr Blair is reputed to have earned upwards of £20 million from public speaking engagements and as an adviser to foreign governments.

Not bad for a guy with a second in Jurisprudence. And an eye for the main chance.

Yes a free education can do that for people. Luckily he made enough so his kids do not have to worry about coming out of university with any debt, unlike the rest of us.

She looks more like a kid wearing her mum's clothes than a 22yo, doesn't she? :?

None of their kids would be in position that they are were it not for their parents.

Not necessarily. I did okay but without my parents help. I never bought a place but then most of my friends have had trouble jumping into the property market at the wrong time. The golden age of property buying is truly over. What my parents bought as a start home years ago is now considered two or three rungs up the ladder, and it was bought with a single salary not two or three now.

Having said that, when you consider her available gene pool...
