William Hague's not gay. Erm, you'd better read it yourself

I'm old enough to remember William Hague's address to the Tory Party Conference when he was 16. Despised the guy then.

Over time my view of him has changed and I now believe him to be one of the more trustworthy and capable members of parliament and an asset to our government. Pity he ran for the leadership when he did because I think he'd be a great leader and PM now.

Regarding his sexuality..... I have shared hotel rooms with colleagues over the years on company business and can only think this makes sound financial sense. Whether he is gay or not is immaterial to me. His private life is his and none of my business. I don't happen to believe he is anything other than a normal married man personally.

Let the media have their playtime but I sincerely hope it doesn't get to him or his wife and more so I hope he doesn't seriously consider leaving front line politics because of this. We have few enough of his calibre to lose one.

They should be ashamed. Since when is it even valid to question a persons sexuality anyway. Unless they are hypocritical and have made contradictory statements in the past and only then.
