If the employers have messed up the PAYE, isn't it the employer's duty to correct it?

But it's not the employers who have messed up. On a plus note many will receive a tax rebate as they've paid too much.

Apparently after all the adjustments the tax man will only get another £200 million extra tax overall.

This on top of the “austerity measures” we’ll have imposed on us later this year, rising costs and the pay freezes many will be forced to endure will lead to a very disgruntled population.
They were saying on the radio to contest it if you get a demand for higher taxes.

I expect riots if things get really bad. The greeks have shown us the way. This appears to hit people who have had extra benefits which have not been accounted for properly or switched jobs, or multiple jobs.
