I voted Birmingham for Pie; and I retract my comments on the other thread in light of the eloquent wisdom of JV.

I'm from N'pton which is on the London-Birmingham line. Not much in it time wise, but Birmingham is 1/4 the price.

Amsterdam would be good too, but you can only get the 99p flights during the week.
