Controvery over Apple patenting features from Apps on the App Store...

How the hell did so many small software developers get their hands on a time machine at the same time, go into the future to see the applications upon which these patent applications are based, then go back in time and write their own, lesser-quality knock-offs of Apple’s superior applications? It’s mind-boggling.

I saw their ring leader interviewed on the TV years ago, and he came across as the most enormous cock. YMMV.

The MC guy or the actual band? The MC seems a prick but is only with them live some of the time

I'm supposed to be being good but went to the vending machine at work (technically I went to the drinks machine but the sweet machine is right next to it ;) ). I bought chocolate bar number 404 (no, really) which is a KitKat Chunky Caramel. It's not caramel though. It's like a hard fudge type soft sugar. WTF.

If I'm at least 10yrs too old to watch that [LIFTED] - what's your excuse?

Take it you don't like it then?

For many people, this is a shock, but there are actually well written, thought-out and produced shows on television these days. Why anyone over the age of 20 would want to watch a show about kids taking drugs, drinking and shagging (that isn't Skins season 2) is beyond me.

Tell me it's not childish bollocks.....

Inbetweeners isn't Skins, it's a comedy. Nothing more.

Its a little bit childish and last nights episode had something in common with bollocks (you'd have to watch it!) but its actually well written and very funny. I wasnt sure how many series they'd string out but this is the last one with a Film 4 movie on the way.

I think it won a BAFTA too.

Yeah it's nothing like Skins and I think it's one of the best comedies to come out of the UK in recent years. All the gongs it's got don't lie and anyone can relate to it as we've all been teenagers at school.

If you're not watching it you should put it on your list and don't forget 4OD for the old series.

Precisely my point.

When you watch as much TV as I do. You learn to discriminate. Pure comedy needs to be exceptional, or heartfelt, or serialised, or a combination thereof. i.e. How I Met Your Mother.
Aside from that, I prefer to laugh at the funny bits in serious shows, like House and Rescue Me etc.

There's at least four people in work who rave about The Inbetweeners - two blokes, two women, completely different ages... that sort of thing almost never happens :o

Personally, I can't be arsed catching up with it, it's bad enough I still have to make my way through the IT Crowd
