I'm my experience they prefer not to waste time getting horizontal. Clarity is king.

another pointless update, not sure why met up with that girl again, spent the whole day with her and treated her to an Indian restaurant, Restaurant staff were really shy until I spoke their own language and they lit up big time. really love spending time with her etc, we have such great laughs and get on so well, shame she already has bf but she makes awesome friend. Seeing her again on Tuesday and thats when Ill be taking pics of her for those whos interested what she looks like etc

How is this a pointless update? You took a girl out to dinner and had a great time. She has a boyfriend but makes and awesome friend... I don't think you realise how big a step forward in your emotional journey to "proper" adulthood you've just taken. This is a massive update, and I'll bet you that nobody will disagree with me on that... unless they're messin' about! Well done you!

And don't carry on paying for everything either.

I've given up any and all attempt to understand women. A buddy from work's been romancing a girl, and he's asked for my advice along the way. I've reached the conclusion that I know absolutely nothing about women.

You don't need to understand everything, just get stuck in. As it were.

My stock response now to any query is 'How the [LIFTED] should I know?'.

Met a girl on Friday. (Well I've known her a while but we got along really well). Something that I think could go somewhere... She's moving to Australia in January... LOL! The last girl I knew and really liked got married and moved to Jordan. LOL!

That's extreme. Most of the time they just stop replying to text messages . Having said that an ex of mine moved to Gothenburg but we do at least still kind of get on. I suppose if you meet enough people, some of them are going to end up living far away. It's not like it used to be when courting a girl from the next village was seen to be a bit adventurous. Jon

Yes, and I'll add to that that I'm really not in any mind to start trying to understand them again. Mark

Why do you bother in the first place? Just go with the flow and don't question the logic

A perfect time to quote a friend of mine. He said this whilst we were at university, and I've stuck by it ever since. All women are inherently evil. True that. Mark

I'm not sure ALL women are evil , but I think that there is a fundamental difference in that men will usually accept a woman as she is; they'll either want to be with her or they won't and that's it. But women don't do that. They will want to be with a guy and, once with him, will then start trying to change him. Bertie Wooster faced this situation many times.
