No change on the MRI!
Still doesn't explain why I can't hear anything though. Going to see a normal doctor again to find out what's going on.

Do you have balance problems as well?Tinnitus? My mum is severely deaf in one ear (80% loss) and they didn't find any mechanical reason except some infection spots on the nerves, which seem to not be related. I get balance problem and muffling due to anaemia. Anyway that's all very good news

Thanks  Tinnitus, yes. Balance problems, no. Gonna go back to the docs and see what they think. At least I've eliminated the most urgent possible cause quickly.
