I can't seem to access the old meeting place now - Chrome just comes up with an error page "This website has a redirect loop". Anyway, I can't say I'm too bothered, I was only gonna take a quick look to see how dead the forums were/are.

I can get into PCpro but not into MacUser - I get the same error as Dan.

They've fixed the login problem on PCpro, so maybe they're working on MU now.

PC pro is still down where I am. Not that it matters, I need to stop worrying about the PC pro forums and get on with something more important. I've no idea what but something

You could try eating your cookies if you're getting the redirect error. Didn't work for me on the MU site, but you never know.

There's not a lot happening over there anyway :?

I tried eating my cookies, but I get the redirect on both MU and PCP now.

Maybe Hammie died of boredom?

Ah!

I just tried in a different browser. It seams it is a cookie problem, but you must not eat your cookies - you must restore them to the required format! The website is producing indigestible cookies, but if you already have a good one then it will let you in.

I have the munchies :?

I got the error but it turned out I'd been logged out. As soon as I logged back in everything came back up again. No cookie eating required.

Bingo!

It is a kind of cookie issue. Like I said earlier, you need a valid one to see the forum. If you go to the home page, then you actually can log in which generates a valid new set - I hadn't thought of that. If you then delete your cookies or log out, it all goes wrong again.

So, you need to visit the homepage and login rather than go direct to your forum bookmarks. I can't remember the last time actually saw the homepage

Got it.

I went to the MU main home page and logged back in. Because I was using a bookmark to go straight to the forum pages it was choking on it.

Stupid Dennis.
