That sounds mor than fair if you ask me.

There needs to be an incentive to work - i.e. more money for working, not the same money.

Yeah. but there'll be less opposition if it's brought in at a high level. They can freeze it and watch it's value decrease with inflation to bring its value down over time.

There will still be those who are better off not working .. incentives include free school meals, home insulation, dentistry, prescriptions etc etc non of which are included in the benefits mentioned.

You can get massive discounts on insulation through power companies anyway.

I think the incentive to work needs to be job security, not necessarily the wages involved.

And if you rent it is something you need to apply for every time you move. Not so bad for landlords they can get it insulated for free. ;)
