Yeah, why not. But it's nothing new, I've had purplish coloured potatoes before - can't remember the name of them though.

I first had some a few years back. Better when mashed up to give a nice colour to the plate.

I had purple cauliflower. Apparently it is crossbred with purple sprouting brocolli so I was told. He did look a bit mental though. It could be as common as muck for all i know?

It was nice :)

I had some white carrots last year. No - not parsnips, but genuinely white carrots.

Most of these are simply heritage vegetables from when people grew a much more varied spectrum of fruit and veg.

They're all damned good in my book.

sweetcorn/maize was originally varicoloured. Purple was common. Interesting on the plate!
