Bloody hell! Someone buy him a track day ticket and save his life. Not that I care about him or his plastic missile, but it's a dead cert that the pillock will take someone with him.

Meh. The only bit that got 'interesting' was about 2.30 in. Other than that, I just thought 'gosh, the traffic in Moscow's bad.' and 'I bet he'd ridden as a courier in London.'

I think he's always in control, you can brake very quickly on a bike like that, never did I feel like he was going to crash.

Reminds me of riding a bike in London... Followed a courier out of London, onto a starionary M3, we were filtering for miles, gradually going faster and faster, but I was concentrating on moving between the cars. Eventually looked down and we were filtering past traffic at around 90mph - the surrounding traffic had crept up from under 1mph to around 60mph, at that point, I slotted back in and rode normally, but I was concentrating so hard on filtering, I honestly hadn't noticed the speed increasing that much... During the fuel strike, I went from Brugge, in Belgium, down to Antwerp and across to Arondonk on the Dutch border through stationary traffic - the HGVs had parked themselves zig-zag across all lanes for miles. I was in a rush to get to Germany to visit my girlfriend, so I just filtered through the whole lot - which was when I discovered that a Hond VFR800 (99 model) is about 2cm lower than the open door of a DAF HGV cab! Some lorry driver didn't take kindly to me ignoring his blockade and swung the door open, just as I got to the back wheel of his rig! I smacked my helmet down on the tank and shot under the door! I think I was in shock for the next couple of kilometres!

Agreed. A bike, on a dry road, can stop in an incedibly short distance. BIke magazine did a test of an R1 against an Impreza wti, over "simulated" B-roads on an airfield - tight, twisty, uneven, sand on the corners etc. and the stop box represented nuns crossing the road... The grabbed the BTCC privateer champion to drive the Impreza and the normal test rider rode the R1. The R1 was about 25% faster than the Impreza over the course. The Impreza managed to get within about 2 seconds of the R1 on another run, but only by doing over 70mph as he ran the nuns over! They then did a brake test, then again for the camera, with both side-by-side. The Impreza "lost control" under braking from 100 and rotated 270°, ending up broadside in front of the R1. The R1, on its front wheel, managed to rotate 90° and stop a couple of cm short of the Impreza. A friend of mine got stopped by the police on the M27 for doing 110mph. They pulled ahead of him and flagged him down, he stopped with full braking, the police Impreza ended up smoking the tyres and stopped a full 50M furth on than the bike. They weren't impressed!

I would have pressed charges. That was clearly dangerous behaviour. Opening a door deliberately to stop a moving vehicle is asking for trouble.
