In any case, can we agree that Routh was awesome and should return?
I think the only better choice choice would've been Tom Welling, personally, but when this film came out I'm not sure he was ready.
It would be criminal if he didn't get to play supes in a film. Criminal.

I couldn't agree more, if my life depended on it.

Ernie, you're welcome.

Welling was too young and weedy when he first started Smallville. But now he has grown up, I honestly think it's time.

Can I use this as an excuse to post that Laura Vandervoort's coming back to Smallville? Clicky

Fill your boots and post anything you want. Season 10 already rocks and I'm extremely excited for all the returning peeps and the cape!

The rest of us already watch quality television and are therefore aware of how gorgeous Supergirl is.

Plus, she's way too young for you.

"And you didn't disappoint"

 ;)

Sorry, I usually find it hard to take young American actors seriously (maybe due to the level of dross starring their peers), and in that sense the show being about Superman doesn't help... It'll always compare badly with the comics for me :(

Once again, you're entirely welcome.

Oh, and Laura's Canadian ;)

Oh, we'd certainly accommodate her, in the interest of international relations of course ;)

Brandon Routh is still in the running to play Supes.

Unfortunately I believe that interview was with the NOTW, so take it with a pinch of salt maybe, but check out the link in the movie news thread for other indicators.

I suppose it'll come down to how jumpy WB are - do we hire the guy so closely associated with the last film, or do we take maybe an ever bigger risk with someone new?

Then again, maybe Snyder's his own man :)

In a studio tentpole reboot? I doubt it.

Brandon's very cool. Yes Tom deserves a shot, but I'm not gonna moan at Brandon.

I was thinking about the influence of Nolan too, far as I can tell, he had say in the choice of Snyder... :|

Well maybe then. But like all things of this nature, I'll remain sceptical for a while yet.

I'm sure I saw it posted here but CBAed to look for it. Didn't Nolan say in his Batman universe, there's no room for other superheroes including Supes?
